dgTreasures is a buyer as well as a seller on the internet. We purchase
virtually all of our jewelry making components and tools online. As such, we
recognize
the need for security and trust involving web transactions.
With that in mind, here is how we collect and handle information that is generated
during normal web site operations:
- All monetary transactions are performed using a secure host server. This
ensures that all sensitive information is encrypted while being transfered
between your browser and the various computer systems used to complete the
transactions. Always be sure the little lock symbol shows up in the bottom
right of your browser before submitting such information.
- dgTreasures only asks for the minimum amount of information necessary for
successful sales transactions when helping you set up a new account. This
information is stored in our secure database and is only shared with Paypal
during the checkout process. We do not and never will share this information
with any other system outside of dgTreasures.com.
- dgTreasures uses "cookies" to enhance the customer experience with our
web site. A cookie is a small amount of information about you that
is stored on the your
computer. With that, when you visit dgTreasures we are able to recognize
you and provide you with services that we would normally not be able to.
One such service is your "wish list". When you place an item in your shopping
cart but don't complete the transaction (ie, buy the item), we use a cookie
to store that item information until your next visit to dgTreasures where
it will again show up in your shopping cart.
- Our hosting company, Crystal Coast Consulting, LLC, provides dgTreasures
with certain internet protocol browsing statistics. Standard information
is collected,
such as; how many visits there are to dgTreasures on a daily basis, the ip
address of those visiting, how they got to dgTreasures, how long they visited
and what pages they looked at. We review this information regularly and use
it to modify dgTreasures in order to provide a better browsing experience
for our customers. We do not share this information outside of dgTreasures
and Crystal
Coast
Consulting,
LLC.
- The owner and webmaster of dgTreasures.com is also a principal in Crystal
Coast Consulting, LLC. All selling transactions are handled through Crystal
Coast Consulting's Paypal account and business checking account and customers
will see certain transactions branded by Crystal Coast Consulting. No monies
or any other information generated by dgTreasures are retained or used by
Crystal Coast Consulting, LLC.
